The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you commit.
Everything in one place, including regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and click here the bonus terms, is at TradeTheDay.
