The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
